NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Sam Hornish, Jr. won everything possible in the Indy Racing League before he surrendered to the lure of stock cars. And Hornish was young through all of that success, winning his first IRL championship at the age of 22, the youngest champion of any major, North American open-wheel series EVER. That was 2001. Two more championships followed, more success than many drivers ever see and Hornish did it before he turned 30 last week. He talked about all of that with The Freaks.
