So the weekend started off with Tony Stewart's rumblings in Atlanta about Danica “almost certainly” coming to NASCAR… eventually.

And then Saturday's eventually turned into almost immediately when reporters in Atlanta didn't just take the news and print… they dug deeper.  Thank you Ed Hinton for doing what you do best… getting the REAL story!

Ed discovered that there is more than just a friendship brewing between IndyCar's star Danica Patrick and former IndyCar champ turned NASCAR superstar Tony Stewart. A stock car mentorship and soon to be 'boss – employee' relationship is on the table, too.  Danica made her second visit to Stewart Haas Racing this past week, but instead of just checking things out, she got serious.

So just what IS brewing? Well, apparently daddy TJ Patrick is on a gag order, but do not fear IndyCar fans. Danica will run a full time IndyCar season in 2010, while dipping a toe in the NASCAR waters in her off time.  Look for her to begin with an ARCA race in February at Daytona's Speedweeks and then move into a Nationwide and Truck ride throughout the year.
