We get letters and opinions and, boy, do some of those views differ from ours!
So, the views of the authors are their own and do not reflect those of the SpeedFreaks or its affiliates. In fact, Kenny doesn’t like any viewpoint that doesn't support our sponsors!
Editor's note: We received the following before NASCAR slapped Dale Earnhardt Jr. with a 25 point penalty and a $10,000 fine Tuesday for cursing during a TV interview after his victory at Talladega Superspeedway. Asked Sunday about the significance of his fifth victory at Talladega, Earnhardt said, "It don't mean s— right now. Daddy's won here 10 times." Now, instead of leading Kurt Busch by 13 points in the Nextel Cup standings, Earnhardt, the son of the late seven-time series champion Dale Earnhardt, trails by 12 with seven races left in the season. Richie Gilmore, director of competition for Dale Earnhardt Inc., said the team will appeal NASCAR's decision.
Has NASCAR become a dictatorship?
That is a question that I think all fans would like an answer to.
Have the fans lost NASCAR's ear? And why is it happening. We live the in the Greatest Country in the world! And it is based on Freedom of speech but World-Wide, we the fans are waiting to see what happens to Dale Earnhardt Jr. After his Talladega win on Sunday, In Victory Lane, he used the ca-ca word. And on racing forums everywhere the fans are freaking out. Whether you are a Junior fan or not, This does concern you! Does a sanctioning body have the right to tell any American, what words they may use? NO! We live in America people. And from the first time NASCAR handed out a penalty for language, I was outraged! How dare they tell an American, what they can say. Apparently in The NEW NASCAR's eyes, we now live in a dictatorship. And It is getting colder and colder and colder! My Goodness, it's not like he said the F word, he said poop in another form. Get over it Brian, You are a Prude! Grow up, NASCAR is more PG rated then any movie. If the worse a child hears is Sh*t from a driver's mouth, I think it can be over looked.
And that is from any driver's mouth! 12-4-A at one time was a great rule in NASCAR, But they have gone so overboard since Janet's little wardrobe malfunction here in Houston, Which I saw and thought, 'well at least it wasn't both of those puppy's escaping!'
Apparently Brian (France) does not have children because if he has been in a mall, school, or street, he would see that our children and parents have a lot worse to deal with on a daily basis. A four letter word, describing a bodily function is so far down on our lists of things to worry about when raising children today.
Hello NASCAR? Is anybody there? Leave the racers alone and let them race! The 43 drivers, and teams and we the fans pay your salaries. Without us,you would be working in a MickeyD's. Come home NASCAR, it's cold in your country. Come back to the good ol' U.S. of A. We miss you. And the weather here is better now. And maybe you should do like other shows: Parental guidance is suggested. Due to over excited NASCAR drivers, you may hear ca-ca.
