This is the Statt Mann Baby. It’s time to Scatt a little bit.
American Tanner Foust continues his right to be in the conversation for Best Rallycross Driver in the world.
The two-time defending Global Rallycross Champion Sunday won the fourth round of the European Rallycross Championship in Finland.
He was able to win going away after former World Rally Champion Petter Solberg slid wide while leading the final allowing Foust to get under Solberg and drive to the win.
Foust needed some earlier heroics to take advantage of Solberg’s mistake. He started in the back of the final but passed five cars before turn one.
Tanner’s teammate and fellow American Brian Deegan made his European Rallycross debut this weekend and found the competition difficult. Deegan had a flat in his first heat Saturday. He finished as high as eighth in Heat 3 Sunday before finishing 13th on the weekend. He didn’t qualify for the Final.
Foust has run two of the four RallycrossRX rounds this season and won them both. He has no plans to run the series fulltime.
The next Global Rallycross round is in Munich June 30th.
Peace.
