It would be difficult not to hear or have an opinion on the biggest headline in sports this weekend.

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is accused of making racist statements captured in a phone conversation with his girl friend. The NBA is investigating if the voice is actually Sterling’s.

It’s so frustrating that headlines like this continue at the same time courts throughout the country are blowing up laws that prohibit such practices and beliefs.

Judges continue to argue that racism is dead and there’s no need for laws to protect minority rights in America.

At this time it would be great to hear from leadership in other sports communities including the racing community. It’s long fought allegations of racism woven into the fabric of motor racing.

It’s not hard to argue whether racism is a part of motor racing. It’s a part of America and until we out grow or remove it, everything in America will smother in the choking vines racism continues to produce.

Until then, America will experience no peace.
