This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.
Some crazy thoughts after today’s Sprint Cup race at Michigan.
First, what the heck has happened at Joe Gibbs Racing?? First Kyle Bush won four of five. Now teammate Matt Kenseth has won two of three.
Gibbs and Toyota has won five of the last six. Just hard to imagine or explain other than hard work and luck.
And Hendrick Motorsports: That shop was supposed to be the yardstick for Cup Racing but it’s only been in Victory Lane twice in the last ten races.
Chevrolet has only three wins in that same time frame. Some big questions will be asked there this week.
Ford has only one win in the last ten. The Blue Oval has faded in NASCAR Sprint Cup of late. All since former racing boss Jamie Allison left to take over another role in the company. That was in May, about when the losing started.
Some Sprint Cup changes unfolding right before our eyes.
Just some thoughts.
Peace.
