Oh my gosh… I don't know whether to be disgusted or elated. Kimi Raikkonen did it. Kimi Raikkonen won the Formula One World Championship today by winning the season finale in Brazil and lucking out with Lewis Hamilton's double mis-fortune. Damn I wanted Hamilton to make history… but alas it wasn't Alonso.
See Clint Bowyer… it CAN happen! Don't let the Jeff Gordon – Jimmie Johnson freight train intimidate you. ANYTHING is possible. Kimi went from 3rd to 1st in one race. Who says the same fortune can or can't happen with you, Mr. Kansas.
Scheesh… the IndyCar championship battle was a gooden, but with a less than desirable result. I'm now slightly irked with the way F1 turned out… BUT, IHRA Top Fuel is coming down to the wire this afternoon… NHRA battles are all tight… Formula Drift was won by an American… Motocross was a 4-way battle to the last lap. I guess this is the way it is supposed to be… regardless of how I want it to end up.
It's exciting… that is the essence of racing!
