This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.
Formula 1 headlines pour out of Imola Sunday.
Lewis Hamilton got his ninth win in 13 races, the 93rd of his career, and another step toward tying Michael Schumacher for a record seventh title.
Hamilton led Mercedes to its seventh straight constructors title. The man orchestrating that success, Toto Wolff, a team co-owner with Mercedes, could leave his role running the team when that contract expires at the end of the season.
He said he has a replacement in mind, that stepping aside could help with talent development throughout the system.
Driver Hamilton says he’d like to stay at Mercedes but doesn’t know now. His contract is up at the end of the year as well.
And another headache, seven F1 teams are based in the United Kingdom where Prime Minister Boris Johnson has imposed a fresh national lockdown starting next Thursday, November 5th.
F1 says it will continue racing as long as the host countries in Turkey, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi would have them. And the best goes on…
Peace.
