This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.
When you must grind for the results of an athletic competition it’s a sure bet that competition is minor league.
As much as I love rallying, and rallying in America, I’ve accepted the Sportsmanesse of the events here in the U.S.
One of the great American events happened this weekend. 100 Acre Wood in Missouri is fast, smooth roads, well run and did I say FAST!
Ken Block has won it seven times and was there again this year looking for number eight in a Skoda Fabia R5. That’s a European car that’s rented by a competitor here in the U.S. Ken’s no longer with Ford in case you wondered.
Travis Pastrana won in a Subaru. He held off Block and the Skoda who was second. Third was Barry McKenna, last year’s American champion, who was in a World Rally Car Ford. He rents rides and had six in this event including Block’s Skoda.
I’d tell you to look for the results. The competition was great. But that rabbit hole would frustrate Alice.
Peace.
