This is the Statt Mann Baby. It's time to Scatt a little bit.
Okay. For those of you who don’t like Formula 1 and think it’s boring, here’s more evidence you aren’t clear on the realities of the sport especially this year.

Admittedly we’re only two races into the championship but look at the results from today’s race in Malaysia.

First: NINE teams were represented in the top ten. And the repeater at the front of the line wasn’t the usual suspects, Red Bull, McLaren or Ferrari. The repeater was Force India in seventh and ninth.

The winner was two-time champion Fernando Alonzo in a Ferrari who qualified ninth and drove through the field to the top spot on the podium.

Second was Mexican driver Sergio Perez from Sauber. Grown men cried over that one. It was the first time a Mexican driver finished on an F1 podium in 41 years.

Two time champion Sebastien Vettel finished out of the points. He was behind such great names as Paul di Resta, Jean-Eric Vergne and Nico Hulkenberg.
Sure, the rain was a great equalizer but so were the bad pit stops, the driving mistakes and the rules equalizing equipment.

In short, this will be a great season in F1. The winners aren’t guaranteed every race weekend.

So, if you don’t like F1, that’s fair. But find another talking point other than the racing’s boring. You’ll look silly holding on to that argument this year.

Peace.
