Alex Palou on Winning the IndyCar Season Opener

IndyCar Barber Winner Alex Palou had to convince team owner Chip Ganassi he was worthy of a ride in the series. He did that by winning the season opener Sunday at Barber Motorsports Park. The 24-year-old Spaniard, who started third tying a career-best qualifying effort. Palou capitalized on a two-stop pit strategy while the front row of Pato O’Ward and Alexander Rossi opted for three stops.
