This is the Statt Mann Baby. It's time to Scatt a little bit.

You never know what goes through the mind of a high strung athlete.

If you saw the Los Angeles Lakers come apart this afternoon you know what I'm talking about. And this has nothing to do with the excellence of the Dallas Mavericks who ripped the Lakers into pieces in the past week.

I'm talking about high strung athletes who can look at their moment and shrink from it. What goes through their minds?

Last night in Las Vegas we might have seen it again. The moment was there for James Stewart. After an unfortunate Supercross season, Stewart was in position to put his stamp on it no matter how the championship shook out.

But while leading halfway through the final race of the season, Stewart fell; unnecessarily fell while charging away from a field he had covered. James has fallen before. Sadly it's becoming his trademark.

And that's the point. You never know what goes through the mind of a high strung athlete. And I'm talking about fighting, falling or fleeing like Lebron James did last year.

It's puzzling.

Peace.
