This is the Stattmann Baby!!  Time to Scatt a little bit.

This week the Freaks were at the Reno Air Races; high strung guys competing in high strung machines in the world’s fastest motorsport.

They raced at nearly 500 miles an hour within fifty feet of the ground putting capitol Type A personalities under extreme pressures to win.

And it was fun!

Then today in New Hampshire there where high strung guys in high strung machines acting like classless spoiled brats.

Sure, NASCAR will hand out penalties and maybe, even, suspensions.  But when athletes in the NBA or NFL or Major League Baseball pull the same stunts they’re ridiculed and their ancestry questioned.

And don’t enable them by saying big corporate money makes grown men act like children. 

Money and a spotlight won’t change immaturity.  Paying people millions doesn’t make them a hero.

You can take some boys out of the country but you can’t take the country out of some of those boys.  Then again, what happened today gives country a bad name.
