So Carl Edwards fractures his foot playing frisbee… but decides, crutches or not, that he will still drive to defend his win this weekend at Atlanta.
Then came the news of Bobby Labonte driving for TRG (as it was released earlier in the week that he would be replaced at Hall of Fame Racing for 7 of the last remaining races of the year). That left David Gilliland out of a ride.
Well, just now we received word that series legend Bill Elliott has fractured ribs from a dirt bike crash this week… unlike the fractures sustained by Edwards in a frisbee accident, Elliott thought the pain would be far too much to race in this weekend's event.
Sooo, welcome back Gilliland! How about that… David Gilliland will now replace Elliott in the #21 Woods Brothers machine for Atlanta!
Confused by this shuffle? Well, here you go… in chronological order… enjoy!
