Legendary sportscaster Eli Gold joined The Freaks Sunday night to talk about a number of things including NASCAR, the NFL, Alabama college football, all things he broadcasts on a regular basis.  But he was also introspective on his first thoughts after broadcasting from the fourth turn at Daytona when Dale Earnhardt was killed right in front of him.  Gold, author of “From Peanuts to the Pressbox,” shared a series of stories from behind the mic and a brilliant career.  Enjoy.
