Mopar’s “Big Daddy” Don Garlits Comes Clean on
His Greatest Contribution to Drag Racing… and Aliens
Hollywood, CA (October 13, 2008) – Tonight, on MavTV, SpeedFreaks pour enough bleach in the box for the greatest drag racer to light up the rubber one more time. But this time, Don Garlits has no network intervention or producer in his ear telling him he can’t say this or that. It’s proof why he is one of the greatest contributors, not just to drag racing, but to motorsports. It’s Big Daddy un-freaking-plugged.
Garlits goes full-on Swamp Rat as he sheds a tear with an anecdote about the greatest American he’s ever met. Who is he? He drove a stock car. The drama ratchets up from there when ‘Big’ tells the intimate story on a fan losing his arm after he just lost part of his own foot. Swear.
