NASCAR driver Marcos Ambrose won his first Sprint Cup race last year on the road course at Watkins Glen. It changed his professional life forever. Now Ambrose is fighting to get his first oval track victory and he has a great start qualifying third for next Sunday's Daytona 500. The Watkins Glen win gave Ambrose a pay raise and new sponsors for his Richard Petty Motorsports team. His fan base increased. He went home to Australia during the winter, and all anyone wanted to talk about was how he was a race winner at NASCAR's highest level.
