AURORA, Ill. – Supercross veteran Davi Millsaps will run under the Kawasaki banner for the first time at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium Saturday, October 18th
Millsaps is from Orlando. He finished second in Supercross to Ryan Villopoto in 2013. The 26 year old has been riding since he was three when he received a bike from his parents for Christmas.
“I just never stopped from that point on,” Millsaps said.
Feld Motor Sports worked with five time Monster Energy Supercross Champion Ricky Carmichael to create the unique track in Sam Boyd Stadium. It incorporates highly technical elements from both supercross and motocross through the use of over 10,000 cubic yards of dirt.
“This year’s track design is unlike anything I have ever seen in my career,” said Carmichael. “It’s definitely going to be exciting and challenging for everyone. We started with a great foundation and have an epic final product.”
The Monster Energy Cup posts a $250,000 purse with the winner walking away with a $100,000 check, and any rider that wins all three Main Events will take home $1 million.
