This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.
Apparently, the bump and grind of rallycross translates to the Extreme E series.
Kevin Hansen and Molly Taylor this week won the Desert X Prix in Saudi Arabia.
Hansen comes from a generations long line of rallycross winners. His Dad Kenneth Hansen won a record 14 European Rallycross titles. Kevin was the 2016 World champion.
Johan Kristoffersson also of Sweden has FIVE World rallycross titles and he was driving around everyone in Saudi Arabia before a speeding penalty in a yellow flag zone took out his team.
Extreme E uses electric SUV style cars. The racing has a goal of highlighting global climate change and how to solve some problems around the world.
Americans Tanner Foust races for McLaren with rallycross championships in his quiver. RJ Anderson, a Friend of the Freaks, has off-road titles. He races for Ganassi and was on his way to doing well in Saudi Arabia before an accident took him out.
It would seem rallycross and Extreme E are vastly different but it appears the skills are complementary on dirt.
Extreme E continues to grow on me. Should grow on you as well.
Peace.
