This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit…
It could have been Saturday Night Live comedy watching the confrontation between Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott after the Bristol race Saturday night.
Forget the on-track shenanigans. Harvick can have Verstappan Disease sometimes. He has great racing skills but he thinks everyone should disqualified for getting in his way on the race track. There was a time a few years ago when Harvick would even take off on his own team when he simply underperformed at winning time on the track.
But Saturday night after the race, when a reporter put a microphone in front of Harvick, he cursed and fumed and declared he wanted to hit someone. This was after the object of his affection had been standing in front of him for several minutes, easily within reach of a shove or a jab.
Harvick even refused to take off his helmet before the confrontation. He had no intentions of a real fight despite his protestations in front of the camera. It was a Laugh Out Loud moment.
Where’s Vince McMahon when you need him? Somebody needed to negotiate something for Elliott and Harvick after that fiasco.
Peace.
