2015 Rolex 24 at Daytona winners Scott Sharp and Pipo Derani made some history this weekend. They teamed with Ed Brown and Johannes van Overbeek for the victory. Their win gave Honda it’s first Rolex 24 overall win. it gave chassis builders Ligier it’s first Rolex 24 win. And it gave the first overall win to a P2 prototype in the Rolex 24. But the win came with some criticism for American newcomer Derani, a 22-year-old Brazilian racer who had never seen Daytona International Speedway prior to a practice session a few weeks ago, and has never raced anywhere in the U.S. before. One driver questioned Derani’s driving style. That brought some comments from Derani and Sharp.
