Tinsley Hughes is a Throwback on NASCAR Throwback Weekend

Former NASCAR Cup team owner Tinsley Hughes is one of the very few African American team owners in the industry’s history. Drivers such as Mike Skinner, Carl Long, Ron Hornaday Jr. and even three-time NASCAR Winston Cup champion Darrell Waltrip all drove for him. He told The Statt Mann he’s been committed to motor sports since he was a child living next door to Virginia International Raceway. But with grandchildren, he said he could return to the NASCAR box.
