This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.

We’ve been doing this for 23 years and in that time, we’ve built some wonderful relationships. Talking with Travis this week really brought that home for me.

We met Travis when he was a teenager looking for and making a name for himself. His passion for action sports helped make things like skateboards and double back flips and rally cars dinner table conversations for so many families around the world.

But our conversation this week showed me, at least, that Travis is a man now. He’s a husband. And he’s a father with children who are learning what they want to do with their lives. And if Daddy’s passions will be theirs when they grow up.

It’s satisfying for me that Travis has remained a Friend of the Freaks all this time. Travis has changed the world around him globally and he still makes time for us.

There are some clowns out there who barely change the world in front of their race car and, if you can believe it, they’ve asked The Freaks for money to come and be a part of the show.

I tell people all the time that Travis deserves the success that’s come his way. He’s nurtured friendships and respected those who’ve come into his life.

Over and above the records and championships that have come his way, it’s wonderful for me to see the man he is now.

Peace.
