A survey done last year in Britain found that Brits believe Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter are bad news for their well-being. 18-24 year olds were studied.
The good news? Social Media helped with their self-expression and community building.
But here’s the bad news: those platforms provoked anxiety and depression, deprived them of sleep and left them with a fear of missing out.
Maybe that’s what you feel when you don’t have the latest comment from Kevin Harvick or Kyle Busch. Or maybe that’s what you feel when you can’t get to the phone to find out who won the pole at Indy.
Some of the world’s largest corporations are waiting out there to sell us something or, more likely, sell our interest to someone else.
Either way, someone’s making billions on your next Instagram missive. Shouldn’t you get a piece of that action?
